OurType

OurType has a vision that is different from most other font companies. It publishes newly designed fonts tailored to contemporary needs. Yet it respects traditional values, and strives for the highest quality product. OurType fonts are useful, durable, and attractive tools for anyone using type now.

Co-founder Fred Smeijers is internationally known for his writing and lectures, but above all, for his type designs. His fonts, like Arnhem and Sansa, are much sought after by designers seeking to dip into the deep well of contemporary Dutch typography. Founded with Rudy Geeraerts of FontShop Benelux, OurType also features work by Peter Verheul, a celebrated figure from the “new wave” of Dutch type design, Nikola Djurek, Merel Matzinger, and Artur Schmal.
